The Rifle Team is composed of up to 8 shooters, 2 teams of 4 cadets who compete in postal and shoulder to shoulder matches with other High Schools JROTC Rifle Teams. There are 3 positions that our cadets shoot at they include; Prone (laying on the ground on your stomach), Kneeling (kneeling on one knee whith the other foot supporting you), and Standing (standing sideways facing the targets with your arm resting on your hip). Each target is worth ten points with the overall target being worth 100 points. Each shooting position has its own overall target, so each shooter can shoot a possible 300 points.

Being a member of the Rifle team promotes a competitive spirit, teaches motor skills necessary to become a better marksman, teaches firearms safety, and requires a personal commitment to develop marksmanship skills and to practice.
